Fluoride
Fluoride treatments are effective for children and adolescents with moderate to high caries activity or adults with root caries. Fluoride promotes remineralization while preventing decay. Many people do not get fluoride in their water, especially those that drink well or bottled water. Regular, professionally applied, fluoride treatments are recommended to prevent decay.
